Making sure that the goods were assigned the correct tariff numbers for entry.

Checking freight manifests

Clearing shipments that were crossing at different borders by truck and rail.

Phoning clients if there seemed to be issues with the manifest, or goods being shipped.

Data entry; entering the cleared goods into the customs data base after clearance into the US.
