Accomplishments

  • Honours graduate of Algonquin College's Engineering Construction Technician Program.
  • As a Civil Engineering Intern at Kiewit, I played an integral role in the Rapid Bridge Replacement (RBR) project for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation in Ottawa, the first project of its kind in Canada. I actively contributed to the successful replacement of two bridges, part of a larger multi-bridge initiative. The first bridge was completed in an impressive 78 hours, surpassing the 86-hour deadline, which helped our team earn the 2022 Transportation Infrastructure Innovation Award from the Ontario Road Builders' Association. My ability to take on significant responsibilities and collaborate effectively with the team ensured the project’s success under tight timelines.
  • During my studies at Los Andes University in Colombia, I collaborated with a team of 18 to design Terminal 2 of El Dorado International Airport as our final project. This initiative integrated advanced knowledge in road design, airport transportation regulations, structural design, project estimating, and geotechnics. I conducted soil studies and obtained soil factors for the construction zone while contributing to the design of the roadways and foundational structures. Our project included legal specifications, environmental policies, interior design, and detailed BIM models. Our innovative approach earned first place in a competition against three other teams from our Civil & Environmental Department.
