  • OMHS Dog Handler (currently) – Responsible for shelter dog outings and behavioral training, managing stress and anxiety in a Fear Free environment and providing best practices in preparing them for future adoptions.


  • Save Our Scruff, Rehome & Rescue – Transport volunteer picking up and transporting supplies for rescue dogs to foster homes. Picking up supplies and donations and dropping them at various locations including veterinary clinics and storage facilities.


  • Kerr Street Mission – Implementing the fresh produce program, packaging and distributing produce and food to community members in need. Preparing packaged meals for patrons of the mission.


  • Clarkson BIA Board Member – Responsible for organizing community events in a team role including: Halloween in the Village, Christmas in the Village; providing tents and stands along with giveaways. Established, lead and implemented the first Clarkson BIA Food Drive which is now an annual event, to benefit The Compass Foodbank.


  • Habitat For Humanity – Participating and fundraising as a team, building homes for underprivileged families in need in the GTA for a set period.

Spending time in nature with animals, passion for a plant-based diet, fitness/nutrition enthusiast, reading, spending time with my son, daughter-in-law and grand-dog "Malibu"

My favorite past-time in recent years was spending time in nature with my two Golden Retrievers. Unfortunately they both passed away within the last few years due to cancer and senior related health issues. In the past, I've also had a German Shepherd as well as a Bernese Mountain Dog, many (stray) cats and a pet turtle growing up.

I made the decision to live a meat and dairy-free diet for the past 4 years and continue to expand my education, outreach and passion for the welfare of animals.

I've been a fitness and nutrition enthusiast for most of my adult life. I've completed and placed in fitness competitions and continue to learn and expand my knowledge of functional fitness, weight-training and most recently the importance of a balanced fitness regime to include the benefits of aerobic and anaerobic exercise.
