I started with Walmart in 2012 as a support associate for their transition from a regular store into a supercenter. I managed to get support manager through them, after which I was transferred from the Spruce Grove store to the Edmonton South Park location.
I spent a year as Fresh Assistant Manager before going to overnights for 6 years as the Overnight Assistant Manager. I left for a year while pregnant, and when I came back to work I was made the Backroom Manager. I did this for about 2 years before my second pregnancy. When I came back from that, I was made the merchandising manager at the Tamarack location. After about 6 months they asked if I'd be willing to travel to different locations as a covering manager for whichever position was in need, based on the stores particular issues. (leave of absences from their regular management). Eventually I was placed in Capilano Walmart, where I've worked since, as a Backroom Manager, than a CAP1 manager (customer availability process manager). Most recently I've been working as Consumables Manager.
I consider myself highly skilled in merchandising and warehouse process, in particular. I have, at times, had teams of upwards to 30 direct associates while managing a store averaging 200 associates in total.
I have a solid track record in optimizing store operations and delivering high-quality customer service. I've proven my ability to lead teams and adapt to changing and seasonal business needs. I've focused on driving sales and maintaining collaborative work environment.
