Interests

Avid humanitarian. High school years were spent arranging the 30 Hour Famine Fundraiser, participating in Youth in Philanthropy and being a Big Sister at Riverview Elementary through Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association. Currently volunteer for two local rescues (Manitoba Underdogs Rescue and Popcorns and Binkies Wildlife Haven). Beyond the MVTA/MVMA requirements, I have taken additional continuing education in areas that I have special interests such as exotics and small mammal medicine, anesthesia, Advanced Clinical CPR, and parasitology. Recently completed (May 2023) BLS & ALS- Basic & Advanced Life Saving course via the RECOVER Initiative Organization in which only 22 people in Manitoba are currently certified.
