I am a board-certified psychiatrist with a strong foundation in clinical practice, education, and quality improvement. I earned my MBBS from Umm AlQura University in Makkah with a GPA of 3.18 out of 4, and completed my psychiatry training across multiple specialized centers in Riyadh. Since joining the Mental Health Department at King Abdulaziz Medical City in 2015, I have progressed from a training resident to an Assistant Consultant in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Throughout this time, I’ve remained actively involved in supervising residents in the Saudi Board of Psychiatry program, organizing academic activities, and leading quality initiatives—including serving as the primary investigator for the NGHA Mental Health Registry Project and leading efforts to standardize mental health documentation.
Currently, I am pursuing a Clinical Fellowship in Neuropsychiatry at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. My first year focused on neurology training, and I am now deeply engaged in the care of neuropsychiatric patients, covering inpatient units and providing consultations across various psychiatric services. I am also involved in delivering Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). My goal is to bring this advanced expertise back to my home institution to develop specialized services for patients with co-occurring neurological and psychiatric conditions, including the implementation of ECT and Ketamine treatments. I remain committed to advancing mental health care through clinical excellence, collaboration, and continued research and quality improvement efforts.

During this period my interest in neuropsychiatry and CL has been increasing, evolving, and giving me the chance to enrich my clinic experience in these fields.
I have been privileged to work closely under direct supervision with specialized psychosomatic medicine consultants in this service.
At the same time, I have been involved in the training of rotating residents providing supervision education.
I have been responsible for the organization of academic activities of the adult mental health department.
