Although I reside in Markham I am willing and able to work all around the GTA., While my educational background is primarily focused on structural engineering, I have pursued a variety of design courses that have provided me with an excellent foundation in data collection and analysis. I have also gained familiarity with Ontario codes such as the MTO manual, OPSS, the Canadian highway bridge design code, CSA A23.3:19, and the CSIC Steel Handbook. I believe these skills, coupled with my engineering expertise, make me well-equipped to excel., I have completed various design courses throughout my academic journey, including Hydrology, engineering environmental impact, Bridge Design and Rehabilitation, and Steel and Concrete Structures. These courses have enriched my engineering knowledge and honed my critical thinking abilities. One of the most significant design projects I undertook was the Capstone Design Project, where my team was tasked with designing a 6-storey steel storage building., During this project, we meticulously designed and presented various structural systems, carefully considering factors such as cost-effectiveness and ecological sustainability. Our final design incorporated OWSJ, a corrugated steel deck, and isolated/strip/combined footings. We utilized software programs like AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAFE, and RSmeans to accomplish this. This project allowed me to apply my knowledge of geotechnics, steel and concrete design, and structural evaluation effectively., In another notable project, I developed a comprehensive project schedule for a school construction project in Northern Ontario. My responsibilities included calculating excavation costs, determining dumpsite locations, estimating concrete material expenses, and creating a detailed work breakdown structure and schedule. To ensure accuracy, I utilized tools such as Revit, Excel, and Microsoft Project for precise computation and analysis. This project provided valuable insights into resource allocation, budgeting, and efficiency management., I am deeply committed to expanding my skill set and seizing every opportunity to learn.
