Summary

Science graduate with years of lab experience and well-versed in subjects of biology, chemistry, biochemistry and physics. Currently, beginning a directed research study on cell cross-talk during COPD at the University of British Columbia (Kelowna) with Dr. Osei. Contributing time out of my studies started a company, Pampas Produce. Pampas is based out of our family farm, and it aims to serve communities with limited access to fresh fruit. Additionally, created an organization to support future optometry students in the Okanagan.

  • Provide resources to future optometrists. Connect them with optometry Admissions teams in Canada and the USA. Arrange information sessions. Plan optometry mixers where like-minded individuals can meet.
  • Hold eye care sessions to teach community youth (6-12-year-olds) about the importance of eye care
  • Organize the team's responsibilities and tasks and lead weekly meetings

  • Work consists of picking, sorting, packaging, transporting fruit, setting up stalls at farmers' markets, and providing customer service.
