My responsibilities as the QA team lead and SME for the Ribbon Application Server (AS) and Media Application Server (MAS) involve:

• Test Strategy and Test Plan creation for new features in each release cycle.
• Test case executions, identification, and retests of bugs, system engineering, and traffic test runs.
• Automation of new test cases for each release using existing automation frameworks.
• End-to-end testing of solutions involving Ribbon AS, SBCs, and media application servers.
• Security hardening the entire solution to make it FIPS compliant by implementing IPSec mesh, IPTables/ACLs, TLS with mutual authentication for SIP and HTTPS, media security with SRTP, and ensuring there are no new vulnerabilities in the OS or application, with the help of tools like Nessus Scan.
• Release-over-release regression testing, defect escape analysis.
• Maintenance of the lab network and servers.
• Act as a mentor for new employees.
• From 2015 to 2018, I was doing QA and performance characterization of the Ribbon Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC) supporting SS7 and Diameter.

My responsibilities as a Core Network Planner included:

• Network design and planning for new projects, including swaps, migrations, integrations, upgrades, and expansions.
• Testing Proof of Concept (PoC) for new services.
• Providing data fill for integration and expansions of new nodes in the network.
• Capacity and performance management of Core Network Nodes (MSC, MGW, HLR, STP).
• RFQ, RFP, and BOQ preparations.
• Database record keeping and network optimization.
• Interface from the core network side for business, marketing, and VAS teams.

• Managed a team of skilled regional engineers in the Huawei CS department, and reported to the Core Network Support Manager and CS Director.
• Provided Level-2 support for CS Core (MSOFTX3000 and UMG8900) to Huawei customers, and resolved their issues and problems with proper RCAs under the timelines of the agreed SLA.
• Was responsible for providing SOPs for all critical to minor changes or activities in the network, including version upgrades, traffic cutovers, etc.
• Provided support to the Huawei Marketing and Planning teams for the development of new solutions as per the requirements of the customer.
• Coordinated with Huawei R&D for iOS/hardware bugs and patch upgrades, as per their recommendations.

• Provided Level 1 and 2 support for DX200 (MSS) and IPA2800 (MGW) platforms.
• Maintained and improved network KPIs, performed network upgrades (CD upgrade).
• Worked on the commercial launch of 8 MSS, 4 GCS, and 16 MGW, integration of these nodes with live NE’s, and performed changes in all live networks to accommodate these new nodes.
• Responsible for day-to-day network optimization, expansions, upgrades, and support to planning and implementation teams for the Telenor Rel-4 network.

• Responsible for the planning Wateen's NGN and IMS Core Networks.

• Responsible for the Operations and Maintenance of Wateen's NGN and IMS Core Networks.

• Responsible for monitoring, reporting, and maintenance of Wateen's Core NGN and IMS networks.
