Manage up to 5 patients in a 30-bed mixed floor comprising primarily oncologic/hematologic, end-of-life care patients, medical-surgical, and a minority of behavioral health patients:

• Administered chemotherapy and blood products, managed antibiotic therapies, provided strategies for symptom management, and delivered patient education.
• Implemented, specialized, and monitored end-of-life care approach by focusing on managing symptoms, relieving pain, and enhancing quality of life to comfort care patients and their families.
• Nursing skills include central line access/deaccess/maintenance, IV insertion/maintenance, ostomy care, enteral and parenteral feeding administration, postoperative care, wound care, and surgical drain management, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Safely handled narcotics and administered prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
