Assist the flow of traffic by directing cars to park in spaces, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and all available parking is used effectively.

Advise and instruct any attending visitors who arrive via car with clear directives to where the event is taking place. Help them find suitable parking spots or answer any questions about the venue that they may have.

Communication: Assist other volunteers and staff with coordinating the parking effort. Ensure that all vehicles are parked as efficiently and effectively as possible

Ticketing: Manage the admission booth checking tickets or passes and processing sales or reservations on the spot using the ticketing software, ensuring accuracy and speed in ticketing.

Customer Service: Welcome all guests and deliver any necessary information about the festival program; assist in solving all possible kinds of problems of interest. Let every visitor have the experience positively and feel welcome.

Information Delivery: Provide maps, schedules, and information on the events, attractions, and facilities available within the festival to all attendees.

Design, organize, and manage Black History Month activities and events, including lectures, panels, workshops, performances, and exhibitions. Ensure that the events run smoothly and meet their objectives for the celebration of black history and culture.

Community Relations: Conduct meaningful relationship-building with community leaders, local organizations, schools, and cultural institutions. Partner with stakeholders to promote and grow Black History Month programming.

Prepare and distribute educational material, presentations, and multimedia regarding the importance of Black history. This will be accomplished through collaboration with educators and historians, ensuring the correctness and relevance of the content.


Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist in the execution of events and other activities. Make sure to give clear directions and provide support to ensure a positive and productive experience for volunteers.

Take part in tree planting within the different allocated areas using proper techniques of establishing healthy trees for proper growth. This involved digging holes, placing trees, and covering their roots with soil.

Work as a team through coordinating activities with other volunteers in such a way that all the tasks are done efficiently and effectively. Communicate clearly and supportively with the team members.

Help care for newly planted trees by watering, mulching, and monitoring trees for signs of stress or disease.

Observe all safety measures and protocols dictated by the host organization. Ensure proper utilization of tools and equipment and that the area where planting took place is cleaned up and organized.
