Task: Our team was tasked with designing and implementing a customized network infrastructure solution that would ensure reliable data transfer, efficient resource management, and seamless user connectivity.

Implementation:

• Network Equipment Procurement: Acquired and installed Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus switches and Cisco 4331 routers. Configured the network using OSPF routing protocol for optimal data packet routing.
• Server Configuration: Set up Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with VMware for virtualization. Configured Active Directory for centralized user and data management. Additional server roles included file server, DHCP server, and DNS server.
• VLAN Segmentation: Implemented VLANs for different user groups (users, employees, IT department) to enhance security and optimize network performance. Configured trunking on switches using the dot1q encapsulation protocol for inter-VLAN communication.
• IIS: Designed a user-friendly landing page to provide updates to users.
