I am currently holding the R.TCM.P and I am also waiting for the clinical exam to obtain my Doctor of TCM next year. I had experience with a non-paid internship at a private clinic in Surrey from 2021 to 2022, in addition to the previous school internships. This internship experience was a meaningful asset for me to feel the atmosphere in the real field, such as how to handle various types of patients, communication skills, prescription of formulas, and acupuncture methods and techniques after obtaining the Registered Acupuncturist certification in 2021. I also had experience working at the multi-clinic and community acupuncture as a volunteer. Based on my experiences in this field, I recognize that practitioners should be good at their skills and knowledge, and this is a basic requirement. However, the most important thing is how much we can make the patient feel comfortable and relaxed during their sessions.
