I've had various jobs throughout my professional career. From working at farm maintenance, a winery, and an engineering firm. All of these jobs have helped me gain a better understanding of the field I was working in, and I look forward to continuing to apply what I learned to wherever else I may end up.

Process Improvement Intern
O'Neill Vintners & Distillers
03.2021 - 06.2022
While working as a process improvement intern at O'Neill Vintners & Distillers, I learned how a winery is efficiently run.
Working there helped me gain experience in how to adapt my communication depending on who I was working with, so they could understand how a process should be taken care of and why it should be done that way.
I had discussions with operators to develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures that would help improve the winemaking process.
I worked with management and assisted my supervisor with various continuous improvement ideas. These ideas involved making the job more efficient, and improving the safety of all workers involved in those processes.
I performed observations and audits to verify that SOPs, safety, and food safety protocols were followed, and sent out daily reports on findings. This helped highlight areas that operators thought needed improvement, or they didn't think they should be doing.
I helped my supervisor source parts and equipment that were essential for daily operations and continuous improvement projects.
I was also required to track downtime for winemaking processes to determine the best way to mitigate that downtime.
I kept track of inventory and made sure that equipment was reordered, so there wasn't a shortage of supplies for operators.
I performed safety audits around the whole facility.
This internship has helped me grow a lot as a person and as an employee. It has given me a new perspective on how things can get done, and how I can work with my fellow coworkers. I learned that there are a lot of different ways to solve a problem, and to keep an open mind when finding solutions.
