- This was my other 40-hour work experience that I needed. It was a welding camp for one week at BCIT, where we learned different types of welds, mainly 2 ARC and MIG welding. ARC is the weld that uses electricity; with arc welding, it takes precision and the right angle to produce a good weld. MIG, on the other hand, uses a flame and a metal rod to produce a weld; it requires precision and patience for the weld.
