  • This project is part of the Department of Economic Data Analysis
  • Examines the economic changes in BC after the implementation of the carbon tax policy from 1998 to 2018, using BC as the experimental group and the remaining seven Canadian provinces as the control group.
  • Quantitatively compared changes in the CPI of each province by using the DID model and collected data using the R programming language.
  • Drafted a 5000 word project paper and presented it to other members of the group.

  • Meet Fresh is a famous milk tea store around the world, I work part-time here as an ordinary employee to a small head while I'm studying at UBC, and although not responsible for a lot of things, I can do almost all the stuff from opening to closing the store.
  • Processed payments for credit and debit cards and returned proper change for cash transactions.
  • Supervised and evaluated staff to help improve skills, achieve daily objectives, and attain advancement.
  • Managed opening and closing procedures and recommended changes to enhance efficiency of daily activities.
  • Responded to customer concerns, working with manager to significantly raise customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Created and maintained safe and secure work environments for employees.


Club Activities:

I joined a club called the Chinese Union Association (CUA) at UBC. In it, I organized and planned an event for new students, including planning and writing, organizing the event, purchasing props, and maintaining order at the venue. I was able to help many new students and their parents understand the UBC study system and the campus map.
