Although I have limited work experience in the traditional sense, I feel my hard work in school and ability to balance school and hockey give me great multitasking/organizational skills. My parents have given me chores from an early age which have taught me work ethic and responsibility. Through hockey I have taken leadership classes and have learned to work well with others towards a common goal. Realizing through sports that all individuals have unique strengths and utilizing those to better our results will help me in any job setting. I attended another course called Move your Mood Boys Summit (by Restorative Sports Therapy and Orenda Society) which helped me have a positive outlook and again respect for all others.
As a team we were responsible for raising money for tournaments, team building events, and team gear. Over my hockey career we have done countless things including bottle drives, food and merchandise sales, raffles sales. The sales would be do friends and family as well as community based.
Through Foresters Insurance group our family wrapped and distributed gifts to the children. Also gave snacks and met with the families.
