Gregory Wilkinson

- Full-Time position for the entire school year (5 Periods).

- Regularly contacted parents to inform them about their childs behavior or academic struggles.

- Attended IEP meetings whenever possible. Always followed up with resource teacher when I missed any.

- Fulfilled all adjunct and supervision duties.

- Attended school events and games students requested I attend, to show support.

- Provide time to offer students one-on-one support in class and outside of class.

- Created all learning materials and lesson plans for the year.

- Promptly responded to student emails to support them outside of the classroom.

- Provided multiple forms of instruction to support students diverse learning styles. (Slides, lecture, instructions on handout)

- Create scaffolds that are meant to inspire answers, instead of provide them.

- Encouraged students to think about others perspectives while also thinking about their own.

- Worked to be available to sub during my prep.

- Offered to support teachers during my prep period. (Also worked as a way to support students in other classes.)

Student Teaching History:

• Shoreline Middle School Spring 2022 - 4 class periods of 8th grade English Language Arts

Fully lead 2 class periods:

- Followed pre-established lesson sequences, while adding scaffolds, student checkpoints, and activities to enhance students learning and engagement.

- Offered one-on-one support during work sessions and outside of instruction time, including after school.

- Graded and offered different levels of feedback on student work based on the density of the students assignment.

- Followed IEP's to offer specific students appropriate scaffolds, accommodations, and support.

- Chaperoned for entire class field trips to the San Jose Tech Museum and 2 High School tours.

Observed and supported students of the other 2 Periods: Offered one-on-one support during observations.

- Occasionally substituted all four class periods for the Cooperating Teacher for the day. (Once for an entire week.)

• New Brighton Middle School Fall 2021 - Two, 8th grade Humanities Core Classes (4 periods).

- Active support to all students in class.

- Given one-on-one support during class.

- Worked with small groups of students during class.

- Fully lead select lesson sequences that focused on establishing an understanding of poetry and film language.

• Harbor High School Spring 2022

Fully lead 2 Periods of 9th grade English Language Arts.

- Developed original lesson plans to teach the students on how to apply modern critical lenses, such as feminist theory, to classic canon novels.

- Created interactive reading experiences to increase student engagement.

- Designed lesson plans and assignments where students would relate their personal and community interests to the class topics.

- Worked with individual students and small groups to answer specific questions during work sessions.

Observed and supported students in 2 Periods of 10th grade English Language Arts.

- Offered students one-on-one help during work sessions.

- Collected a series of short stories for students to have access too, to fulfill the classes independent reading requirement.
