With three rotating menus depending on time of day, there was a large variety of recipes and skills I mastered in this position

Once we changed over to TGP a good many employees didn’t stay, and we had trouble finding a permanent manager in the department
I stayed on and was acting manager for a while before they asked if I would take over since I was doing a good job anyways
I had all previous duties, as well as the inventory and shrink logs, ordering product, and the general day-to-day operations

I got a job at my local grocery store and started in the deli
I sliced meat, helped customers, and did clean up
Later a position opened up in the meat department, and I asked to be transferred
I started as a wrapper, just wrapping the meat as the cutters prepared it, and put it out to be sold
Later when I gained enough experience and a position opened up I was trained as a cutter
I would cut, grind, and prepare meat, as well as clean up and customer service
I was there until IGA had to sell to TGP and we were offered to stay on with TGP
