Experience with children, and children with special needs
I Have an autistic child I have raised on my own, he is now in a permanent living situation as his violence and self harm could no longer be controlled
Experience caring for my other children and raising them currently
Experience in Special Needs Care, I volunteered in the summers during college doing recreational therapy
I have been around people who require care since I was a young child. I lived with my aunt who had a stroke in her early adult life and was paralyzed from the waste down and lost most of her abilities to communicate. I provided all the care possible for my whole life. I have an autistic son whom was extremely high maintenance. He required care full time. I learned plenty about the resources in this area and how to manage this type of behavior. I am very personable and children seem to take to me quickly. Upon employment, it is my opinion that being at work everyday on time is the most important part of being an EA. These children require support everyday and it should never be taken lightly. I decided to be an EA because it is my passion to make positive changes in people's lives. Everybody has the right to experience what life has to offer, and I will do anything to assure this is possible for people who can not do it on there own.
