Working at the Williams Lake, Quesnel, and McKenzie plants.

  • I started working for Parallel through high school. Then after graduating early to get my first year of welding I started full time.
  • Developed all current skills and experiences at this company.
  • Welding, Fabricating, Millwright, general labour, operating, etc.
  • Fabricating; Guards, motor bases, building conveyers, other structural, etc.

  • Am currently a crusher/ mill labour at Mt.Polley Mine.
  • Skid steering,Shoveling/Wheelbarrow/Sweeping, Air-lancing, Rock hammer/Chipping, Water blasting…

  • Safely and efficiently cleaning throughout mill and in crusher.
  • In crusher, cleaning under conveyor belts as well as cleaning off material from on the belt when needed.
  • Then in mill cleaning materials in basement and other locations as needed.

  • My project was; Fabricating and welding 3 wood stoves.
  • Tools and skills; CNC plasma work, All welding types (SMAW,MIG,TIG), Grinding, Bending steel sheets with press, Cutting (bandsaw & torch), painting etc.

Accomplishments

Graduated high school early to get my first year of welding. I got in through the ACET program (It’s a high school scholarship for kids getting into trades) and completed my level 1 & 2 July of 2024. Got all my current hours through Parallel (east Fraser fibre) during school and after, have just under 3,000.
