• Joined Industrial Engineering Corporation, Chennai, after Graduating as a SUPERVISOR. Rose to the level of Partner in the company. I was involved in Design, Manufacture and Maintenance of a variety of HEAVY Industrial applications for Mining, Cement, Sugar, Steel, Chemical, Defense, Paper Industries, Ship repairs, Industrial effluent treatment plants and many more daily.
• Implemented Defense Project for CVRDE, to manufacture Track Units which performed as per the requirements and as good as Russian made Tracks. This method of manufacturing is being followed in the manufacture of ARJUN BATTLE TANKS used by the Indian Army today.
• Designed and Manufactured Concrete Troweling Machines, Concrete-cutting Machines which were sold over 1000 machines of date throughout India to various Professional Construction Companies.
• Import Substitution for many spares for Track Laying machines was successfully done for the Southern Railways thereby reducing downtime and saving valuable Foreign Exchange for the country.
• Repaired and Reconditioned imported MACHINE TOOLS of various countries like West Germany, U.K, U.S.A, Hungary, Russia etc., thereby greatly reducing dependence for spares, great savings for the Organization in terms of cost and time.
• Taught and mentored juniors resulting in significant productivity rate increases and less time to market. Increase in speed of development and innovation enabled the industry to become more responsive to clients demands for change and enhancements.
