I noticed a large claim track come up in the winter on a spot that showed great values on the geophysical maps and was in-between two former mine shafts

I had to walk in 15kms through melting snow to put my first posts up

For the next ten years I built trails and explored for prime areas of ore

I really enjoyed working in the forest after being stuck in a very busy business the prior decade but I was going to be selling it to Transition Metals corp who had the claims all around be and were working them to offer the project for sale

I was going to stake it once more before I sold, but I had a stroke and restaking was impossible, it took a couple of years to effectively walk

I am 99% recovered now, just a tingle on the right side and I have slight vertigo that makes running impossible

Transition Metals took them over as they came up and now has the project for sale

Operated gas station and restaurant

Worked cash, serving gas and bait cashier in restaurants. Cooked washed dishes and served when needed

Took stock, kept records, planned menus, fixed machinery, hired staff. Whatever needed

I bought this business so I could be around my kids more often since I was a single father, we had a residence in the building so I could be with them before and after school. All their friends hung around.

It was a good break from a road sales business selling recycled work clothing from the rental industry

I bought the used stock from uniform rental companies from their stock plus I bought out a couple of rental companies used stock when they sold to a larger corporation

I had to sort through the clothing and pick out what was resalable and sell it

It was very profitable but it was hard to raise my children alone and drive a large territory

• Operated industrial laundry machinery to process uniforms safely and efficiently
• Monitored wash cycles, temperature settings, and machine performance for consistent output
• Inspected garments for stains, damage, and quality before finishing
• Adjusted equipment settings to support fabric care and production flow
• Promoted to plant supervisor
• Hiring staff
• Made certain that all the rental work clothing was ready to be delivered, which meant a lot of overtime and I even had to learn how to sew and repair
