Initially marketing in the financial services sector, facility management at Imperial Oil and over 30 years in the waste management industry, in sales, operations, and ownership. I have a proven track record in the waste management industry, developing and maintaining a customer base with a focus on service, customer satisfaction and profitability. Waste Management Consultant

  • Prepared and secured Ontario Ministry of the Environment approvals to operate waste systems and sites
  • Consulted the ICI sector on their waste and recycling (diversion) requirements
  • Prepared and secured Ontario Ministry of the Environment approvals to operate waste systems and sites. For waste management sites I would establish the site and or develop a customer base, examples being, the Queensway Transfer in Etobicoke, SEJJ in North York, GFL Environmental on Fenmar Drive, GFL on Toy Ave in Pickering, GFL in Milton
  • Mediate where there were opposite paths being taken by ownership, i.e. severance of assets, common in family-owned businesses. I aided in the conflict resolution stage, where applicable working alongside the clients’ legal teams and accountants.

  • Through this period with my partner we secured a small local waste company and over the period developed Able Disposal Services into a respected firm of reasonable size. Through this period, we were an industry leader with a progressive attitude towards the industry, i.e. waste handling systems and diversion techniques. During this period our firm was known to be a leader in the recycling of waste, fibre, plastics, and materials not normally reclaimed at that point. In addition to the core, we opened and operated two transfer stations which are now known as the Kirby Road Transfer Station in Kleinberg and York Resources on Sheffield in North York
