- Generate Tile and Stone Shop drawings.(Shop drawings package shall include a set of drawings such as Project Specification, Key floor plans, Blow up Floor plans, Elevations. Sections and Blow-up Details). The Quality of Shop drawings must align with the information provided by the Lead drafter or Project Manager and comply with the details of the Plans. Additionally, should meet the quality standard set by Certified Tile and Stone.
- Generate Precise and Accurate Cutting ticket, slab Diagrams and Nested Drawings as required.
- Attend onsite or offsite Project Meetings with the Project Manager / Estimator, Project Engineer, Superintendent if needed.
- Review Bid Documents, Material Specifications & Installation specifications with the Project Manager / Estimator and Project Engineer.
- Review Addendums and Bulletin with the Project Manager / Estimator and Project Engineer.
- Review project Timeline with the Project Manager / Estimator and establish a schedule for the production of Shop drawings and set Deadlines.
- Gather Bid plans and Latest Addendum & Bulletins, Estimator’s proposal, Approved - Material submittal from the Project Engineer.
- Generate RFI’s from the Plans. RFI’s Shall be within the approval of the Project Manger / Estimator prior to sending them to the Client. Discuss the RFI’s with the Jr. Part-time AutoCAD Drafters (remote).
- Request and download CAD Files from the client if necessary.
- Acquire actual Dimensions of Tile and Stone from the Tile Vendors, Data sheets & Samples.
- Do Field Dimensions with the Superintendent or Foreman as required.
- Upload all necessary documents to the Cloud / Drafter’s Dropbox such as Bid Plans, Addendums & Bulletins, Estimator’s Approval, approved – Material Submittals, RFI’s, Actual sizes of tile and stone, and Field Dimensions information prior to starting the Shop drawings.
- Meet and direct the Jr. Part-Time Drafters team and discuss Files / Documents such as Bid Plans, Addendums & Bulletins, Estimator’s Approval, approved – Material Submittals, RFI’s, Actual sizes of tile and stone, and Field Dimensions information prior to starting the Shop drawings.
- Provide Mark ups on the shop drawingsprovided by the Jr. AutoCAD Drafter team. Ensure that the drawings are aligned with the details of the plans, Estimator’s Proposal and Approved – Material Submittals and meets the Quality Set by CTSI. Review and Discuss shop drawings with the Project Manager / Estimator. Shop drawings shall be within the approval of Lead Drafter & Project Manager / Estimator prior to sending them to the Clients.
- Meet and Discuss with the Jr. AutoCAD Drafter team all the Revisions and Mark-ups provided by the Architect. Ensure all the Mark-ups on the shop drawings are being revised.
- Modify existing CAD and Revise the Shop drawings provided by the Jr. AutoCAD Drafter team on the Spot if necessary.
- Meet Strict deadlines set by the Lead Drafter and Project Manager.
- Revise and update the shop drawings per bulletins and addendums as required.
- Revise the shop drawings until they are approved by the Client.
- Review and communicate all the Architect’s additional Notes and Mark-ups from the “Approved as noted” shop drawings to the Project Manager / Estimator, Project Engineer and Superintendent. Ensuring that these notes are considered prior installation in the field.

- Review the Actual Contract of the project and Highlight questions and or comments. For review of the Project Manager / Estimator. Additionally, Process RFI’s if needed.
- Assist the Project Engineer in ordering Material Samples if requested.
- Assist the Project Engineer in sending out Material Samples if requested.
- Assist the Project Engineer in preparing Material Submittals such as Material Data sheet, Safety Data Sheet, Clean and Maintenance Sheet, LEED Documentation and other close out project documents if requested.
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in ensuring Stone Fabrication is being done. ( This starts from 1. requesting Stone Fabrication quotes from different stone fabrications. 2. Request LEAD Time and Availability in stock of Stone Materials from Vendors, 3. Order Stone Materials based on Estimator’s Take off or Stone Shop drawings Cut sheet. 4. Coordinate deliveries of stone materials from Vendor to Fabrication shop. 5. Acquire field verify dimensions from Foreman and communicate it with the Fabrication shop prior to cutting of Stone. 6. Communicate with the superintendent once the stone is done fabricating and ready for pick up. )
