Led walking rounds with physicians and other disciplines to implement individualized POC. Prepared patients for transport to trauma hospitals. Taking care of ventilated patients and titrating cardiac and vasoactive medications. Monitored vital signs, rhythm strips labs and COC and reported them to MD. Managed many disease processes and surgical patients including bariatrics and AAA repairs. Rotating charge nurse duties and code team members.

Recovered open heart patients. Worked closely with Anesthesiologists, CV surgeons and RTs to safely extubate and recover open heart patients. Titration of well monitored vasoactive medications in correlation with CVPm swan Ganz cardiac pressure readings. Interpretation of lab values and blood gasses. Cared for s/p and r/o myocardial infarctions. Prepared patients for procedures including stress echos and cardioversions. Obtained certification to give conscious sedation.

Telephone triage for private companies and Tricare. Empathetically and efficiently communicated with approximately 10 patients per hour safely screening with assessments and state of the art algorithms to guide them to the appropriate level of care needed for their acute medical/mental health issues from self care to instruction of physician intervention/911 if needed.
