I am a third-year dental student at Loma Linda University's School of Dentistry at Loma Linda, California. I came to the United States of America from Jordan in 2019 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Four months after the start of the program, the news regarding the Coronavirus started to spread, and a few months after that, I was back home in Jordan completing the BSc degree online with the determination to complete with efficiency in a span of 2 years. During this time, I took advantage of the difference in time zones between the USA and Jordan to spend my mornings at dental clinics, gaining experience, and my nights at the online lectures, in preparation for the next level of my education. Advancing through the dental program, I am eager to learn about new aspects and approaches to dental treatment, and to gain as much experience as possible before starting my career as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
