Accomplishments

  • Conceiving an evaluation system which allowed to identify root causes to ongoing collective training and operational issues
  • Conceiving, planning and leading the execution of sustainable energy projects, which resulted in the first ever Chilean military base to be powered by a photovoltaic energy station, and irrigated by a grey water recycling system
  • Leading the first ever scientific research expedition in the Drake Sea which allowed to map out the continental sea platform
  • Completing the maintenance of over 600 maritime buoys and signals, which ensured the safe navigation of commercial and private ships through the Chilean fjords
  • Overseeing the successful execution of five international events on behalf of the Chilean Minister of external affairs, with foreign prime ministers, government and military authorities
  • Designing and leading the implementation of a public affairs campaign which resulted in a record number of applicants into the Chilean Naval Academy for three consecutive years
  • Directly contributing to a USD$ 1-billion-dollar fleet acquisition project involving 1250 people, which was executed within the allotted time and budget
  • Advising on a governmental project which led to the creation of policies ensuring gender inclusiveness and diversity within the Chilean armed forces
