I have over 34 years’ experience in law enforcement with over 13 years in law enforcement leadership roles. I am experienced in all facets of law enforcement, from the patrol level to management. I have extensive experience in investigations and Internal Affairs. I am a servant leader that listens, has empathy and foresight. I am a problem-solver that looks at problems both locally (Daily Operations) and globally (Organizational Future).


I utilize the DiSC mythology to deepen my understanding of myself and others to effectively improve teamwork, communication and productivity in the workplace. I encourage my subordinates within my organization to utilize this method and tools to help ignite cultural change, inspire lasting behavior changes that positively shape the workforce.


I have completed over 2900 hours of P.O.S.T. certified training. My career motto has always been, "I work for the people" and I believe my past decisions will reflect that belief.

I have a strong background in Community Policing with the San Diego Police Department and use the SARA model to implement community partnership in crime fighting efforts.
