Summary

With a rich and diverse background spanning 17 years of dedicated service within the York Region District School Board, I have been deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The majority of my teaching tenure has been at a high-needs school, where I've focused on empowering students with special needs and exceptionalities. I have earned a reputation as someone adept at helping these students find success and gain confidence in their academic pursuits. Simultaneously, I have passionately pursued my interest in basketball, achieving the esteemed status of a level 3 coach with Basketball Canada, the highest coaching level in the country. As a Lead Community Coach with the Toronto Raptors, I have further extended my impact beyond the classroom. Additionally, I have successfully operated a not-for-profit basketball association, organizing youth camps, clinics, and managing prep level basketball teams that consistently compete at the top divisions provincially. My multifaceted experience underscores my ability to balance excellence in teaching with a profound commitment to sports development and community engagement. I am looking for an opportunity that will allow me to fully utilize and combine my skills, experience and expertise in sport and education at management or coordinator position.
