Summary

I am currently a first-year student at Queen's University, pursuing a degree in geography and politics. Having grown up in different parts of the world, I’ve been fortunate to experience a wide range of cultures and lifestyles, which has shaped me into a more open-minded and adaptable individual. My ability to adjust quickly to new environments and perspectives has been one of my strongest assets.

I also bring significant experience working with children, whether at summer camps or in daycare settings. These roles have not only strengthened my patience and leadership skills but also taught me how to engage with diverse personalities in a meaningful way. Additionally, about a year and a half ago, I had the opportunity to intern in the marketing department at Mondelez International. This experience allowed me to develop my creative and strategic thinking in a professional setting while honing my communication and collaboration skills.

I consider myself to be creative, personable, and resilient, always striving to inject energy and positivity into every situation I find myself in. My goal is to leave a lasting, positive impact on the people I work with and the environments I contribute to.

Camp Counselor

Sol Birenbaum
06.2024 - 08.2024

As a Counselor at Camp Walden, I had the privilege of working with a diverse group of new people while caring for a group of ten boys, ages 10 to 11, over the course of seven weeks. My primary responsibility was ensuring their safety, all while making their camp experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Whether resolving cabin disputes or encouraging them to eat enough at meals, I was always there to support them. This role taught me invaluable lessons in responsibility and patience, as well as how to maintain enthusiasm even when tired, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and communicate clearly.
