International Experience - Description

Through participation in the Rotary Youth exchange program, I studied a year abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark where I represented Canada with my three different host families, at the Danish school I attended, and with the Rotary Club in Copenhagen. I had the opportunity to learn from other international students participating in the exchange program, and from the Danish people I encountered, overall broadening my knowledge of and ability to engage with different cultures and global perspectives. I communicated my experiences through a presentation to the Rotary Club in Ottawa, Ontario as well as with the Rotary Club in Copenhagen.

Volunteer Experience

  • 12/2024 - 4/2024 Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Program (PC-PEP), Halifax, Nova-Scotia, Created/edited subtitles in YouTube studio for program videos., Developed social media strategies for the program with a team of other volunteers.
  • 1/2024 - 4/2024 Friendly Dialysis Program, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Engaged in friendly conversation with patients receiving dialysis treatment. Supported the needs of patients by providing them extra blankets, and water if needed.
