The residential support specialist works with a multi-disciplinary team in providing supervision to adult residents who have been released from prison or jail, some of whom have severe and persistent mental illness. Administers medication, monitors house activities while directly supervising, and provides the client with guidance and support on an informal basis as needed.

Responsible for the overall supervision, protection, and care of the individual at all times including maintenance of house rules for the protection of individuals, facilitating learning and training in fire safety and identifying and appropriately escalating signs of an individual’s potential harm to self or others.
