- I have been a part of the Hungarian House since I was a kid, since I attended their school! My mom was the president for about 8 years, so during that time, I got really involved in organizing and helping out with events
- I helped plan and execute community events such as holidays and parties. This would range from dressing up in a mascot costume to take pictures with the kids to creating the goody bags for the kids to take home.
- I would help serve food, decorate, set up tables and chairs, interact with the kids, and just help with whatever was needed.
- The December Nights food fair is held every year in Balboa Park, which is where all the international houses sell food to make their profit for the year. I've volunteered there every year for the whole weekend. I work there as a cashier and a food service worker. I absolutely love volunteering every year because I love interacting with the customers and teaching them about my Hungarian culture.
- I am an absolute yapper, so I have no problem engaging in conversation and keeping a fun, welcoming, engaging environment for those around me.

- Maintaining the front of house throughout my whole shift! I was a cashier as well as a line worker, so my whole shift was interacting with customers!
- I made sure the line, drink station, and dining room were clean and restocked accordingly.
- During our peak hours, the line was out the door, so it was a very fast-paced work environment. From this experience, I have learned great multitasking skills and how to get tasks done efficiently.

- My mom was the Activities Coordinator for the independent senior living community, so I would come in and help out whenever she hosted any event.
- I helped out with events such as Mother's Day, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Father's Day, and more.
- I would help decorate the facility for holidays, set up and serve food throughout parties, lead games and activities with the residents, and more.
- I became well known throughout the residents there, and it really felt like a second home whenever I visited.
- For Halloween and Easter, I would dress up in costumes and walk around the facility delivering candy and goody bags.
- This experience only grew my skills in interacting with others, being able to communicate clearly, and de-escalating any issues that might come up.
