Im currently employed as a Foreman aspiring to be a P.M., working from 50 - 70+ hours a week. My day usually starts at 5:30a.m. -6:00a.m. where I meet at our wearhouse / office and gather material + data on current projects. I check in with each lead in the morning to see if there is anything I can help with or if im needed in person. I will then get to my assigned site by 7:00a.m. or 8:00a.m. depending on the site regulations. I stay on site until the end of the day unless instructed otherwise. Before the end of the day, I reach out to the leads a final time for updates, material needed, and status's of current delays. I usually get back to the wearhouse / office around 4-30p.m. - 5:00p.m. where I give a verbal report to management and also type a detailed written report to help provide clarity on unforeseen issues, lessons and improvements that need addressing, new ideas and overall project update. I've been loyally employed for 10 years with the same business owner where i feel stagnant in growth. I decided to take a night class on Project Management Fundamentals through UCLA to gain knowledge and crucial information to help form structure's for some of the ares that need improvement within the company. As Ive been offered P.M. positions from other companies, and poor feed back from stakeholders, Im now currently seeking other options to further my growth in my career. Im 32 years of age, father of 3 and hoping to begin purchasing a house in the near future.
