Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets Finance, I manage the following areas.

• Financial systems – ensure accurate accounting for Capital/Global Markets products. Responsible for maintaining the accounting feed between 3 trading systems and ledger

• Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting cycle under IFRS. Ensure all adjustment entries are done by the cut off dates

• Prepare financial statement schedules, disclosures and MD&A commentary related to Capital Markets

• Key Liaison with Product Control, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Accounting Policy, Tax, HSBC Group Finance and HSBC affiliates for accounting related issues including interpretation and implementation of accounting policies for Capital Markets.

· Act as the key contact for accounting and system implementation issues for internal and external auditors (PwC)

· Support in the New Product proposal and New product setup

· Respond to senior management on requests and analysis relating to the financial impact of accounting activities.

· Balance Sheet Substantiation for GB&M Balances (amounting to approx. $45bn).

· Manage new systems related projects (Enhanced customer segmentation and Finance Transformation projects)

· Provide technical, general and administrative direction to staff to ensure assigned functions are completed effectively and efficiently. Managed 4-5 finance professionals from 2014.

· Implement and maintain Group policy locally: maintain internal control standards through timely action on audit points; ensure employees apply compliance, internal and operational risk controls in accordance with established standards and policies.

• Currently only one direct report (CPA) as almost all processing has been centralized in HSBC Poland and HSBC India

• Accomplishments: Continuously being Rated as a “Top Performer” in the overall rating and as a “Role Model” for behavioral rating in the annual performance reviews
• Automated revenue reports for MI purposes using SQL which gave the capability to complete reporting on the first working day after each month end increasing efficiency and saving resources (3 days of work)
• Continuously being recognize in the HSBC “At our best” recognition program for going above and beyond for successful project completion, team work, leadership and process efficiency.

• Monitoring and reporting the bank's Foreign Exchange activity, open position and Fex P&L on a daily basis
• Daily P&L reporting, compare estimates vs actual and investigation
• Calculate the Line of Business revenue allocations
• Management Information (MI) & Planning and Analysis
• Compiling and analyzing the Net Interest Income and Non Interest Revenue reports, Prepare GBM Canada monthly Executive Management Reporting (EMR) and Prepare and review product profitability and customer profitability reports
• Balance Sheet Management (BSM)
• Maintenance and development of the systems that support the Transfer Pricing
• Maintaining the database for all BSM transactions and reconciling Net Interest Income to the BSM daily reports
