With the assistance of my family we have started a fundraiser through SickKids Hospital called Francesco's Fund. The fundraiser is named after myself and raises money to provide newly diagnosed type 1 Diabetic children and their family's financial support to purchase much needed supplies. Families receiving support are typically entrepreneurs. These families typically do not have existing medical coverage for their children's supplies or do not qualify for government assistance. To date we have raised $50,000 for children with type 1 Diabetes. This coming year I will be taking a full and active roll becoming involved in the direction the fund will be taking given new funding support for families and discovering new and exciting opportunities for involvement with the clinic and the families it serves. A fundraising event is the main culminating event for which I am fully involved in organizing, booking talent, donation procurement and more.

• Volunteer experience through International Travel opportunities with neurodivergent children in northern British Columbia
• Special event function volunteer set up through Albert College, Out of the Cold via Grace Inn Shelter, BGH volunteer to assist student radiologist

• Academically I am highly motivated and am focused on becoming a Pediatric Endocrinologist working with children with Type 1 Diabetes.
• This coming year I also wish to volunteer working with children to help gain experience which will assist me in pediatrics down the road.
• My active involvement in Francesco's Fund (via SickKids) will also give me insights into the social work component of assisting families with Type 1 Diabetic children.
