• Part of a team operating drilling rigs for extraction of petroleum at di erent remote south Alberta locations
• Performed duties as assigned by
• Derrickhand and Driller Leads on the drill floor using the atmos safety and hazard protocols
• Such duties included:
• Running routine cleaning and maintenance of drilling equipment
• Tripping in and out of drilling holes using tongs and slips
• Finalizing the wells, pulling out drill pipes and running casings
• Assisting in moving the rig, rigging up and out
• Operating heavy machinery and helping make connections with pipes

• Part of a team working in the safe and environmental collection, treatment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials
• Duties included:
• Air control room maintenance, tool cleanup, testing of air gauges, emptying tanks, maintaining equipment for technicians, preparing tool boxes and setting up trailers with tools and machinery
• Attending tool box meeting and safety meetings and actioning protocols, entering of vessels, cleaning up vacuums, restocking catalyst and evaluating hazardous materials

• Part of a team running maintenance and ad hoc operations necessary for the safe fabrication and handling of steel structures while adhering to safety and hazardous protocols
• Such duties included:
• Safe handling and moving of steel onto trays and onto work cribs for steel workers, running steel work hoists, loading materials onto trailers, shop daily maintenance and cleanup of debri and waste
• Grinding and filing down of steel and tacking steel pieces together
• Responsible for proper reading and interpretation of blueprints for gathering appropriate correct parts for daily work plans
