Henna Designing is my hobby. Henna designs are not tattoo-a tattoo is permanent as ink pierces the skin, while henna is a temporary dye which sits on the skin's surface. Henna is also used to safely dye hair, nails and fabrics like silk, wool and leather. The most popular traditional use is tied closely with weddings and bridal preparation and these designs tend to be the most ornate. Depending on the culture, men may use it as well as women, usually for more symbolic purposes. I try my best to be expressive in my henna designs by asking my clients if they would like to include a specific design or name or initials.
