Spark Discovery Summer Program, Prince George BC (July 22nd - July 26th, 2024)

  • Was given the opportunity to participate in this week long program at UNBC to learn about environmental engineering. During the duration, I experienced and learned about the facilities at UNBC and the research the master students were working on involving the treatment of waste water. This was a very cool introduction for me because it made me more confident before starting my studies in the fall.

APEGA Science Olympics, Edmonton AB, (April 4th - 8th, 2024)

  • With a team of 4 other students and help from members of the community, we built a robotic arm that was able to pick up and move plastic balls into a different location. We brought our prototype to Edmonton and participated in many STEAM themed challenges as a team. I learned valuable communication skills and strategies for working under pressure.
