  • The Scarborough Subway Extension is a 7.8km extension of the existing Bloor subway line in Toronto, which includes modifications of an existing interchange station, design and construction of three proposed stations with bus terminals, four TPSS and eight emergency exit buildings
  • Was responsible for overseeing the advance work and main construction detours at Lawrence East Station
  • This involved the road alignment, construction signage, grading, and detailed design reports
  • My tasks included reviewing design packages for road and utility designs, delivering design packages, and coordinating with different disciplines and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of designs for various parts of the project
  • Diridon Station, San Jose, California: Track designer
  • Diridon Station is a major transit hub located in downtown San Jose
  • The station offers connections to various transit services, including the Capitol Corridor, Altamont Commuter Express (ACE), and Amtrak
  • It also connects to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail and bus services
  • New transit services at this station include corridor and service expansion, new rapid transit, and the new California High-speed Rail (CHSR)
  • In my role as a track designer, I was responsible for developing a concept design for the realignment of the existing VTA tracks to accommodate a new station concourse and CHSR platform, ensuring that the new alignment adheres to the VTA design requirements and fits within the proposed new overpass bridge

  • As a deputy project manager, provided management support to the technical team assigned to design two stations parallel to an existing subway station
  • The Ontario Line project is a 15.6-kilometre rapid transit line with below and above-ground tracks running through the heart of downtown Toronto
  • A large number of utility relocations and designs, along with multi-disciplinary design work, were required throughout the project area
  • As deputy project manager, tasks included coordinating design work between different disciplines and facilitating review and coordination of design work from various engineering disciplines
  • Additionally, managing and implementing the design change tracking process, requesting for information tracking process, and general project management tasks
  • As a civil designer, undertook utility removal and relocation, demolitions and civil design work in various locations across the project line
  • Toronto Pearson Airport Terminal 3 redevelopment, HOK Architect, Mississauga, ON: Civil Designer
  • Toronto Pearson, the largest airport in Canada and the second-largest international airport, is the hub for 456,000 flights and over 44 million passengers annually
  • Various areas of Pearson Terminal 3 (T3) have undergone improvements as part of the Terminal 3 Redevelopment and Expansion Program (T3.REP)
  • Undertook Civil design work for three separate T3 projects as part of the expansion program
  • Tasks included designing a new drainage system, modifying existing utility structures as required, and creating an asphalt and concrete apron capable of handling the hardstand operations of Code C aircraft and aircraft supply vehicles
  • Developed removal plans, pavement design, grading and drainage design and construction phasing plan to complete the project most efficiently with minimal impact on airport operations
  • Produced design deliverables from schematic design to construction design, including pavement plans, pavement marking plans, cross-sections, typical details for pavement structures, and construction specifications

  • Developed the drainage, trail alignment, and site grading design for a new access ramp at the Lower Don Trail
  • Produced design drawings that were Issued for Tender, which included the civil plan and profile of the new proposed trail alignment in addition to cross-sections along the new access ramp being proposed

  • Lakeshore West Infrastructure Improvement Project, Metrolinx, Greater Toronto Area (GTA), ON: Track Designer
  • The project is a key part of the Regional Express Rail Program for Metrolinx
  • The project consists of infrastructure improvements at multiple project locations across the Lakeshore West rail corridor
  • The Lakeshore West rail corridor is the GTA's busiest rail corridor and carries parallel freight (Canadian National Railway (CN)/Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), intercity (VIA Rail) and commuter rail services (GO Transit)
  • The scope of the project includes station upgrades to five (5) existing GO Stations with track upgrades and realignments, two (2) road-under-rail grade separations with extensive interlocking relocations and one (1) pedestrian overpass
  • Developed track designs for the horizontal and vertical geometry realignment, track grading, and rail corridor drainage at Long Branch Station and Bronte Station in compliance with the project specifications, GO Transit Track Standards and AREMA
  • Produced the track deliverables, including plan and profiles, cross sections and typical details for the track-related infrastructure
  • Hurontario LRT, Metrolinx, Mississauga, ON: Design Team Member
  • Hurontario LRT is an 18-km light rail transit (LRT) corridor connecting Mississauga and Brampton from Port Credit GO Station to Brampton Gateway GO Terminal along Hurontario Street
  • With 19 stops, the LRT will run in a dedicated right-of-way, connecting regional and municipal transits
  • The key components of responsibility on the project include alignment and guideway design for the mainline, the connection track to the Operation, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) and overall layout within the OMSF site to accommodate 43 vehicles
  • Developed the track deliverables including technical drawings of the special trackwork details at the crossovers and junctions based on VDV guidance and project specification requirements and in compliance with the project specification and TCRP Report 155
  • Also responsible for the production of the systems civil infrastructure (ducting) plan drawings and details for the high voltage and communications ducting routes throughout the project
  • Eglinton Crosstown (ECLRT) Revenue Vehicle Options Support, Metrolinx, Toronto, ON: Team Member
  • Eglinton Crosstown Light rail transit (LRT) will run along Eglinton Avenue for 19 km
  • The LRT corridor includes 10 km in tunnels, 9 km at-grade, and an operations, maintenance and storage facility
  • The line was initially designed based on Bombardier Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs)
  • Provided technical support and assessments of the designs as the client considered operating with a different Light Rail Vehicle, the Alstom Citadis which has a different dynamic envelope and operational and maintenance requirements
  • Undertook assessment of stations, stops, platform interface, track alignments, structural clearance, EMS facilities, tunnel ventilation, maintenance requirements, and maintenance and storage facility layout
  • Valley Line West, City of Edmonton, Edmonton, AB: Track Design Team Member
  • Valley line West LRT is a 27-km line with 16 stops that extends the first phase of the Valley Line (Valley Line Southeast) which is currently under construction from downtown Edmonton to Mill Woods in the southeast
  • The Valley Line West connects the to the Valley Line Southeast in downtown and runs to Lewis Farms in west Edmonton
  • Responsible for the feasibility study of the Lewis Farms terminus station and the adjacent OMSF facility layouts
  • Developed the track and site design for an option for the terminus and maintenance facility layout including preparing the track plan and profile drawings and input into the options assessment report
  • South of Fraser Rapid Transit, TransLink, Vancouver, BC: Team member for the track design team involved in intersection hazard analysis and Treatments, as well as Operation and Maintenance Facility Plan
