Project: REM – Réseau Express Métropolitain (Execution Phase)

Engaged during 5 years in the construction of this mega LRT project of 64 KM of track in the great area of Montreal city (Canada), I have:

  • Managed, coached and led a multi-disciplinary teams of site managers, project engineers, engineers and other professionals
  • Managed estimates and bids,
  • Negotiated, concluded and delivered over than 15 procurement packages reaching value of 100 M$

Responsible to conduct the proposal effort to evaluate an estimate for the construction of MEP systems of the train stations, I have:

  • Ensured coordination among different task forces
  • Provided technical and commercial expertise to bid process


Project: REM – Réseau Express Métropolitain (Proposal Phase)

Client: CDPQ

Having participated in the proposal of this project, I was involved in the engineering coordination, estimation, and procurement efforts of the LRT systems scope of work. My main responsibilities were :

  • Reviewed requirement input documents from project stakeholders and ensured clarifications from the owner are requested and tracked.
  • Led and coordinated the systems interfaces boundary limits among the different disciplines
  • Facilitated the comprehension and the understanding of the LRT Systems and its interfaces with each discipline (Civil, Building, Track,etc)


Project: PSC MSF Center (Proposal & Execution Phases)

Client: Agence Métrpolitaine de Transport (AMT)

Having taken responsibility of this fixed-price contract for the supply and installation of an overhead catenary system (OCS) for the train maintenance and storage facility in the city of Montreal, I managed different scopes among several project phases including the following :

  • Managed the design coordination effort to ensure optimization and constructability of the OCS system
  • Assisted in developing cost-effective solutions to engineering department.
  • Managed supply and administered contracts for the procurement of the OCS material and equipment
  • Managed cost estimation, prepared budget and project schedule

Accomplishments :

  • Prepared and conducted with success a claim following owner directive to suspend the project.

Project: Cochrane & Long Lake Solar Farms (Execution Phase)

Client: Northland Power

Awarded as a T&M contract to build 4 solar panel fields in the city of Cochrane in northern Ontario. Responsible of contract administration and project scope management, I have:

  • Implemented and managed project change and dispute process
  • Managed engineering and construction change directives
  • Evaluated & reported cost and schedule impacts due project changes


Project: Nitrogen fertilizer production plant (Proposal Phase)

Client: IFFCO Canada

During this project I led the estimation process to produce a budget estimate of the electrical/instrumentation portion of the proposed fertilizer plant project at the Bécancour industrial complex in Quebec City. Among other responsibilities, I have:

  • Ensured coordination among engineering, procurement, and other teams in different disciplines
  • Overseen estimators during estimate process and coordinated their efforts into collective whole
  • Managed preparation of proposal documents
  • Prepared and produced proposal project’s executive report


Project: Lower Mattagami River (Proposal & Execution Phases)

Client: Ontario Power Generation (OPG)

This EPC contract was for the engineering, procurement and construction of a new hydroelectric plant and the extension of three others existing power stations. My role was to assist the construction manager in the organization and management of the electrical department. I have:

  • Ensured coordination between engineering, procurement and construction departments and provide support to construction site staff responsible for execution of works
  • Managed budget, control costs and progress of work
  • Ensured control and updating project timelines
  • Administrated contracts for supply of electrical equipment and ensure that subcontractors comply with technical and commercial terms and conditions
  • Defined engineering and procurement packages and their deliverables
  • Evaluated option and implement alternatives to optimize design and enhance constructability
  • Reviewed and comment on drawings, reports and specifications issued by engineering consultants and ensure their accuracy, conformity and compliance with customer requirements and specifications
  • Lead design task force and constructability reviews for electrical discipline
