Evan Kranz

Lompoc

Summary

Hello my name is Evan Kranz and I have recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. I am currently looking for an entry-level role where begin my career in microbiology and research.

Through my coursework and laboratory classes I have built a strong foundation in microbiology, genetics, scientific writing, and following lab protocols safely and accurately. Cal Poly’s motto is “Learn by Doing” and the courses reflect this by having the students interact with the material directly rather than just learn about it on paper. I enjoy working in collaborative environments and am not afraid to ask questions when learning new techniques or working through challenges. I value learning from more experienced team members and see feedback as an essential part of growing as a scientist. I am also a fast learner and I strive to show my seniors what I am capable of and how I have improved. Although I am very early in my career, I bring a strong work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to learn and advance. Reading through the job description on Indeed, I can confidently say that I am capable and extremely enthusiastic about this job, and I would love for it to be the beginning of my scientific career.
