Assisted a class of 25 Accounting 11 students throughout the semester. Acted as teacher assistant to provide help with coursework, including demonstration of accounting software in class, such as Sage 50 Simply Accounting.
Provided help to newcomer students who require assistance and mental support with moving into a new environment. Supported incoming Grade 8 students by visiting their elementary schools for talks, leading school tours and join them in one of their classes as they embark on their new journey.
Primarily responsible for the arrangement of student officials for all volleyball and basketball games that was held in school. Recruited over 100 members at the school's Clubs Day. Held a number of training sessions for incoming scorekeepers and officials for professional knowledge and game procedures. Led a team of 20 highly skilled scorekeepers to assist with the annual Midtown Showdown, a 3-day event with 40 basketball games holding back-to-back. Produced a 60-page handbook, as part of my own Capstone Project, for future club members with ambitions in improving their skills.
Performed front desk duties such as checking in and out books and assisting students looking for material. Decorating the library and putting up recommended books ahead of/ during special occasions, such as Halloween, Christmas, and Truth and Reconciliation Day. Processing new reads that come in monthly. Ensure accurate cataloging and reorganize collection when needed.
