Founder 2020 - Present

CanvasCamp (formerly CitizenCanvas in Canada) 

Founded and scaled a direct-to-consumer and business-to-business e-commerce brand dedicated to reimagining outdoor living. Bootstrapped the business from the ground up—overseeing everything from product development and sourcing to brand strategy and customer experience. Acquired full North American operations in 2024; currently on track to reach $2M ARR this year. 

  • Designed and led end-to-end e-commerce strategy, including SEO, lifecycle marketing, paid media, and UX optimization—driving consistent growth in conversion rates and customer lifetime value.
  • Recruited and built a cross-functional team across marketing, sales, and customer experience; implemented training, feedback systems, and OKRs to align performance with business goals.
  • Lead business development initiatives to expand into new markets—collaborating with small-scale farmers across North America to create new income streams through glamping, while also advising established outdoor hospitality brands on how to enter and adapt to the evolving experiential travel space.

Local Investing YYC 

Co-founded Local Investing YYC, a for-profit investment cooperative providing capital to entrepreneurs that generate financial, social, and environmental impact. Successfully deployed ~$1.5M in capital during my tenure. 

  • Chaired the investment committee and advisory committee to solicit and evaluate companies using our in-house due diligence platform; developed term sheets and conducted negotiations.
  • Led marketing and communications to investors including the development of investor packages (subscription agreements, FAQs, etc.).
  • Worked with the Alberta Ministry of Economic Development to create a vehicle for local investing, including a 30% investor tax credit.
