While fostering emotional connections and growth in students, my background in competitive and professional dance has equipped me to inspire and challenge dancers of all levels.
I have choreographed many solos for myself and other students to compete for competitions in High School dance and studio dance. Working with students around my age group, I have the ability to adapt to the style and level of these students, giving them a welcoming but challenging experience where students can grow.
For the past 5 summers, I have traveled to New York City 4 times and Texas once to train with the Joffrey Ballet School. Working with well-known and highlighted dancers in this industry has taught me a lot about what it is like working in the professional dance industry and how being diverse in styles is important. During my time at the ballet school, I trained in all styles like hip hop, jazz funk, contemporary, and ballet.
Competitively trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical while also dancing with people older and younger than me.
I was a part of my high school dance team for all four years I was in high school. Performing at football games, pep rallies, annual shows, and competing every season. I learned the importance of being a part of a team/family and working as one to become a strong group.
Trained in contemporary, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and tap competitively for a time at this studio. Unfortunately, the studio closed down when Covid-19 hit, causing me to move to a different studio.
Learned and trained at this non-competitive studio for the majority of my childhood. Took ballet, tap, and jazz classes while having a recital once a year.
While still being connected to the owners of this studio, currently I go back to substitute all ages when teachers are out for a night.
