When I began working as a server in 2022, I quickly found a love for the hospitality industry. I am often praised for my professionalism in high stress environments, and I have found that it is where I work best. I am able to keep a level head, and maintain a good connection with patrons while working in rapidly changing environments. I am able to go with the flow of the business, and I have never let any stress of the job affect my performance. I am a good communicator and a very friendly employee. I always put my best foot forward, and am always open to constructive criticism, in hopes of further improving my skills as a server.
In June of 2023 I turned 19 years old and officially became a server. I learned how to connect and develop a rapport with patrons while maintaining a professional demeanor. I cater to their needs and adjust my performance to better the guests dining experience.
I began bussing in August of 2021 and I rapidly learned my role. I learned how to deliver and clear dishes, quickly reset and clean tables to prepare for new customers, communicate my actions to the servers, and organize the expediting of dishes for large events. In January of 2022 I began to take some tables as a server. I was not yet old enough to serve alcoholic beverages but was able to begin to learn the role of server. This gave me the experience that I needed to become the server than I am today.
