  • Lead global quality operations pertaining to in-house (Los Angeles) production quality, buy-out production quality from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Mexico suppliers, and supported affiliate production and distribution facilities located across 3 US states and 2 countries (Belgium & Japan)
  • As part of this promotion, I leveraged an official establishment of a new sub-department of Quality Assurance tasked with Product Safety, Integrity, Extended Producer Responsibility Sustainability, and all other regulatory compliance needs for the everchanging regulatory landscape
  • Increased the Quality & Compliance department headcount to 8 to meet increased production and output demand to maintain high quality standards, as well as partnered with 2 global inspection firms (CIS and AMREP) for continuous DUPRO & PSI audits of buyout inbound to DC and direct from factory to global distributor/retailer shipments.
  • Lead the global product and packaging labeling research and determination for regulatory compliance. Responsible for ensuring regulatory markings (CE, UKCA, FCC, CA Prop 65), identifiers (Age, special warnings, polybag suffocation, other global trade needs such as GPSR, DPP etc.), traceability (batch tracking) and sustainability identifiers (France Triman, material codes, EPR).
  • Continued to support and oversee first article/prototype samples submissions from suppliers, approve or reject samples for mass production.
  • Updated and created new QA/QC standard operating procedures and workflows that integrated under a new company ERP system (ERPNext) such as QC holds/quarantines/NCRs, returned goods, return to vendors, scrap reconciliations, Final Inspections, Receiving Inspections, and lot coding/FIFO management. Incorporated facility specific or overall company aligning SOP strategies as new facilities and companies were acquired.
  • Collaborated with Engineering on R&D projects for production equipment acquisitions, upgrades, retrofitting, new materials, and in-house continuous improvement projects
  • Pitched, acquired, and developed a workflow to leverage a Cubiscan units for enabling automated dimensioning of product and master case dimensions
  • Replaced obsolete and inefficient daily paper inspection reports with a 3rd party digital submission form platform (Fastfield) in conjunction with equipping the staff with iPads for convenience.
