Projects

While studying at NAIT, I have worked with my classmates, and set up and configured a small network using switches and routers. We also implemented active directory services, network security, Integrated communications, exchange services, and backup solutions to simulate a real-world business environment. Some of the significant contributions from my side include:, 

  • Deployed Active Directory Domain Services for authentication and authorization of network users and computers and setting in place security measures using group policies.
  • Network Security via Authentication and ACLs: Secured the network by configuring Access Control Lists (ACLs) on routers and switches, controlling and restricting traffic to and from sensitive areas of the network.
  • VoIP Phone Setup: Deployed and configured a VoIP phone system using Cisco technology, ensuring reliable internal communication
  • Configured File & Print services to enable users in the domain to store, access and print documents across a network.
  • Set up Exchange Online to host custom domain email services and provide integration with other Microsoft services such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Set up Windows Server Updates Services (WSUS) to manage and deploy Microsoft updates to client computers and server computers.
  • Configured Windows Deployment Services (WDS) to install Windows operating system over the network on new desktops and laptops.
  • Set up and configured Network Attached Storage (NAS) to provide centralized storage which multiple devices can access.
  • I helped in setting Backup Solutions both onsite and offsite using ultra cloud to store data from backup jobs.
  • Worked on Documentation of all the installed directory services, Cable labeling, system documentation and hardware documentation and inventory.
