As a full-time practicum student, I:
Every grade in high-school required 10-12 hours of volunteer service. This included spending time at an old folks home to help send out letters, to a placement in Station 20 West where I gardened for the upcoming spring season and made quilts. My last year and in the following year, I volunteered with the Friendship Inn where I served hearty and healthy meals and cleaned the facility.
In my first year of university I was given the opportunity to take part in a winter clothing drive held at White Buffalo Lodge.
During my time with CUMFI, I volunteered through the organization City Centre Bingo as a runner a number of times.
I am also a volunteer for SASW - Saskatoon Branch as a student liaison representative for my university where I provide updates about events and resources to my school as well as work on connecting students with social workers.
